Try flying in an aircraft with constant turbulance for 42 straight hours. That’s how it feels like travelling in a lorry for the same duration.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

On Saturday 27\/12\/2014, our co-founder Nadhir and two co-founders of Hanass Transport Service made a trip to Kelantan to deliver flood relief supplies in collaboration with Pertubuhan Generasi Al Fateh.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

 <\/p>\r\n\r\n

This is the route we took:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We loaded two boats and a full-load of clothing. At 1am, we left KL and reached Jabor by dawn.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We took the coastal road passing Cherating, Chukai, Kerteh and Dungun before entering the East Coast Highway. At 1pm, we reached Jerteh, our next stop.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

After a much-needed refuel in Jerteh, we headed west into Machang and to our final destination Tanah Merah at 3pm.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Tanah Merah<\/h2>\r\n

Tanah Merah was a complete chaos. Neighbourhoods were submerged under water, roads were damaged and access to cellphone lines were cut off. It was a scene worthy of a Hollywood armageddon movie.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Unloading began at about 4pm and finished at about 7pm. We said our goodbyes to the organisers and headed home.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Managed to get a pretty decent seafood dinner to commemorate the occassion too.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We proceeded on the East Coast Highway. At about 3am, near the Temerloh exit, vehicles were at a standstill. There was no way through. Water was too high even for trailers to pass.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Not knowing what do, we decided to get some shut eye for a few hours until dawn with the hope that the water would recede.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The only way back to KL from here was to make a big u-turn at Gambang and proceed down to Muadzam Shah-Bahau-Kuala Pilah.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This detour added another 9 hours to our travel – we finally reached KL at 4pm.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
